Beautiful Sparkly Cap Sleeve Plunging V-Neckline Ball Gown Wedding Dress
This dress is a floor-length ballgown with a fitted cap-sleeve bodice, plunging v-neck, illusion netting over the breast, and a high back. The bodice is covered in hand-sewn silver and white crystals that taper into the skirt at the waist with additional sequins.
The gown was very heavily altered after the original purchase. We took in the bodice at least 2 sizes from top to bottom (shoulder down to waist), altered the cap sleeve/armholes to fit my arms, and brought the top of the bodice up to support my breasts so that I did not need any undergarments aside from a small amount of boob tape. Because of the alterations, it is technically a bridal size 22 but in reality, is around a size 20.
Lastly, I had at least 1 layer of crinoline removed from the skirt to bring down the ballgown volume from full princess to something more modern.
I fell in love with this dress after searching for many months. It was important to me to wear something timeless but had a fun, disco quality. An important element at our wedding was mood/ambiance/lighting. I wanted it to feel like a party in the '70s had been brought to our era, but was still classically romantic. This dress ticked all of those boxes and I sparkled in every room!
