A modern take on the classic ballgown. The top is architecturally structured with a deep V that is super flattering on, and the boning kept the dress secure and in place all night. The bottom flows out nicely without being too poofy (somewhere in between an a-line and ballgown shape), and comes equipped with pockets. We made a French bustle for this dress, with color-coded ribbons to make the bustling process fool-proof. The dress originally comes strapless with a zipper in the back, but we added detachable off-the-shoulder straps(that I wore for the ceremony) and buttons down the back to give it a more classic and elegant look. I've added pictures of the dress strapless and with the straps, so you can see how it looks both ways. For reference, the inspiration for the straps were taken from the Anne Barge Fitzgerald gown. There is a single button cap missing in the back of the dress, it came off during dry cleaning--easily & inexpensively replaceable.
